Feed Grade Lutein

Feed grade Lutein is a natural carotenoid colorant extracted from marigolds. This yellow powder is widely used to color poultry skin, fat, shins, and egg yolks, as well as fish such as Pelteobagrus fulvidraco and Pseudosciaena crocea, and crustaceans like shrimp and crab.

As a natural colorant, lutein is a safer, more reliable, and healthier alternative to synthetic pigments. It features a high saponification degree, excellent absorption, and effective coloring properties. Enhanced stability is achieved through optimized production processes and improved oxidation resistance.

Lutein content: 2% – 4%

1. Lutein is widely used to color poultry skin, egg yolks, and footpads. It helps improve the immunity of meat and egg-laying birds and enhances the performance of yellow-feathered broilers under heat stress.
2. In aquaculture, lutein not only provides coloring and antioxidation benefits but also acts as a growth-promoting hormone. It improves egg quality, boosts immunity, promotes growth and maturity, and enhances fish tolerance to high ammonia levels and low oxygen. Additionally, lutein inhibits lipid peroxidation in aquatic animals and offers protection against UV radiation.
