What's Fumaric Acid (Feed Grade)?

Fumaric acid (trans-butenedioic acid) is an organic dicarboxylic acid used in animal nutrition mainly as an acidifier to lower gut pH, improve nutrient digestibility and support growth performance. The feed-grade material is manufactured to meet specifications suitable for use in compound feeds and premixes. COA and TDS are available on request.

Key facts at a glance:

  • CAS: 110-17-8
  • Form: White crystalline powder
  • Purity: Typically >= 99.0% (feed grade)
  • Solubility: Moderately soluble in water

Commonly used as an acidifier in piglet and poultry diets to support gut health, as well as a raw material in certain feed processing applications.

Typical specifications
Items Specification
